 Application Analyst, Administration Application Delivery
Position Summary:
The Application Analyst is responsible for detailed functional and technical design development and support of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. The Application Analyst will work in a multi-site team to maintain systems support for applications in the production environment. This individual will provide oncall support on a rotational basis for the systems they responsible for. There will be opportunity for the Application Analyst to belong to a project team and perform project duties with specific deliverables and timelines. The Application Analyst will network with various IT Enterprise teams and interface with intersystem resources on a regular basis. The Application Analyst will participate in the Problem Management & Change Management process as necessary.

Skill & Compentancies:
Competencies:
• Experience working in an IT development environment on an IBM Z/OS mainframe and TSO/ISPF
• Possess a univerisity degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Work experience in Functional Requirements analysis and Workflow analysis
• Experience working with the System Development Life cycle - design, programming. testing, implementation and documentation
• Extensive experience working with IT programming languages PL/1, Cobol, as well as JCL, DB2, IMS
• Work experience with IT products/tools such as File/aid for IMS, Syncsort, Xpediter, ACF2, Zeke
• Works effectively and efficiently in a virtual, multi-site environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong team player
• Strong Problem Management skills
• Travel to Canada is required
Assets:
• Previous work experience in an Application Maintenance support role
• Previous experience working on an IBM Z/OS mainframe environment and TSO/ISPF
• Knowledge of PL/1 language would be an asset
• Familiar with application maintenance support practices
• Familiar with GCC Compliance procedures
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinates or performs design, coding, testing, debugging and implementation, as required
• Writes documentation that describes solution, installation and operating procedures
• Reviews, analyzes and modifies large-scale systems. Maintains records to document program development and revisions.
• Lead a team of developers in the maintenance and support of applications
• Is accountable for the ongoing support of application systems in production including problem analysis, resolution, escalation and reporting as necessary
• Provide oncall support on a rotational basis
• Support Governance & Compliance guidelines and processes by ensuring controls are in place
• Participants in Production implementation reviews
• Participate in Corporate Business Continuity Process (BCP) initiatives like Disaster Recovery
• Designs and implements a self-development plan
• Provides input into personal development plan of others
